I've been busy with lots of small projects including this one.
I've determined to make all my Christmas presents this year since I have the rare opportunity to spend Christmas with my family in Kansas, so most of them will be getting flannel pillowcases with a few mug mats thrown in for good measure. My mom will be getting her wall hanging that I started for her several years ago (I just finished quilting it yesterday) and my sister is getting her quilt that I still have to quilt and bind.
Also, my hubby bought me a new laptop yesterday. YEAH HUBBY! My old laptop has been on its last leg for a while. I'm so glad I have Carbonite so I won't have to worry about losing my files from the old laptop!
What have you all been up to? Make sure and visit Judy to find out what everyone else has on their design wall this fine snowy morning.

congrats on the new lap top. Nice you are making so many gifts, hope your family appreciates hand made!! Seems more people are getting into it these days.
A new laptop! I'm actually using my daughter's today since my desktop computer has to be taken in for service (the fan stopped) I'm wibbling between a fix and a laptop, but I'm not sure I like this-definately would have to get a mouse for it-I'm all thumbs with this thing.
I used to make gifts for my family, I think they are quilted out.
Nice pile of pillow cases. If you are keeping up with fabric in and out of your stash -- that is a great way to use up fabric. When I want a quick finish I make a pillow case to go to the lqs and the Million Pillow Case challenge. Good job. And, a new lap top -- woot, woot! I love mine. Hope you will too.
Most of my pillow cases are 35++ years old. I really should go in there right now and sew new ones!

It is great that you get to spend Christmas with your family. The pillow cases will be fun for everyone.
I've been thinking about gifts for family this year and haven't started the first one yet. I thought about quilted potholders but the pillowcases seems like a good idea too. We'll see... Thanks for the reminder.
Your pillowcases will be loved by all. They are needed in Kansas as it getting colder by leaps and bounds. Happy Kansas Christmas!

What fun to celebrate the holidays with your family. Me living on the West Coast and family on the East Coast makes it difficult for me to do so. Agreed, Nice Hubby! Sweet dreams are sure to be had with your pillow case gifts.
Homemade is best! I'd love a flannel pillowcase as a gift. You're going to be very popular at Christmas.
Hey Tamera,
A new laptop, how nice! What are you going to do with the old one? I would be happy to revive it for you, or take it off of your hands... ;-)
It was nice to see you Friday, hopefully we can get together again soon... :-)

congratulations on the new laptop. Yeah, saving your old files is a must. I finally subscribed to an online service to backup my files. DH keeps asking me about new laptops, but I know he would never pick one out for me. I think he's more of the idea if I get a new one--he can have my old one! Are you switching to a different operating system too? (another thing I would dread)
I too am making my Christmas gifts this year as I do every year-usually embroidered towels. This year pillowcases, potatoes, & pot holders.
Oh, your pile of pillowcases is lovely! How wonderful to make all your gifts.....I should do more of that. Okay, you've inspired me to shop my stash tonight for suitable pillowcase fabric for at least 4 gifts. They are the best kind to receive :)
Wu-who on the laptop...gotta love those hubby's.
Congratulations on the new computer, it's so nice to have a reliable one!
