Design Wall Monday, November 15

On my design wall this morning is the first official "project" in Quilter's Academy.

This is the middle section of a sampler quilt that will be completed as I work through the books.

Every step was very precise and when I measured it, it was EXACTLY 14"...just like it's supposed to be!

What's on your design wall this morning?  Skip on over to Judy's for some more inspiration!

Precise? My quilts are NEVER precise. The old saying in our guild is if a person on horseback a mile away can't see the mistake, it is perfectly fine.

There's a Dalai Llama quote about learning the rules so you can break them properly ... and I think it's great that you are learning the discipline of quilting precisely.

... and while I have your attention, it looks like your hotmail account has been hacked--I received some very unlikely-actually-from-you mail last night.

my quilts are never that precise. I try really hard when it is for a swap but for me, somehow I make it work.

Great work. I don't know that I ever have perfect seams but they work (except for the #%*^%# Green Stars) LOL

Tamera, very nice! As much as I struggle to be precise, I never quite make it. I'll keep trying though! I'll look forward to seeing your work as you progress through this course!

Well, precise - what does that mean? I just sew and make it fit (and sometimes throw a fit..). I admire your diligence!

I like your center, very graphic. Looks like your first lesson was a success!
