Help Me Choose

OK, Ladies.  I finally got some sewing done!

I finished Block 8 for the Layer Cake Quilt Along, but I need help with Block 9.

Here's Block 8.

It's basically a Disappearing 9 Patch block.

On Block 9, there are four ways to put it together, and you all get to help me decide.

Number 1

Number 2
\
Number 3

Number 4

I think I like the first one the best, but the girls like number 2.  What do you guys think?

ADDENDUM:

Thanks for all your help, guys!  I chose Number 1 because I liked the way it folded in on itself.  Now, I'm all caught up on Layer Cake Quilt Along!  Woo Hoo!

I like number 4 but you should go with what feels right to you!

I personally like #1 best because the focus stays in the center of the block. The others seem to draw your eyes outward.

I liked #1 best - not sure why but I do.

I like #1 best also. I like the X design it makes and it emphasized the blue/taupe fabric very well. Kathie L in Allentown

I like #2 it makes me think of a paper folded lotus flower when it is by itself...if you were repeating it in an overall pattern I'd have to see which one would work best for secondary patterns. You should go with your gut feeling it usually works with what else you are working on.

I seem to be the odd quilter out. I like # 3.

I like 4 and 2.

Definitely #1

The brown overwhelms the star points in #2 and overall # 1 just looks more balanced to me with the fabrics you've chosen.

I pick number 4, but all of them are pretty. Go with what you gut tells you.
