On my design wall this morning are two things.
First is my FINISHED Hummingbird top! YEAH! Well, to be completely honest, I guess I need to decide what to do with the border, lol...OH NO! Another border quandary!
I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It was the PERFECT project to bring on the retreat. I think if I hadn't brought it on the retreat, I would never had finished it.
Now, I'll be working on my Monochromatic top for this month. Here's a photo of the fabrics that I found in my stash.
It will be fun, I think. I have a plan for it and I don't think it will take that long to get it sewn up.
Make sure you check out Judy's blog to see what everyone else is up to!

Your Hummingbird is WONDERFUL. Don't you hate those dreaded border debates. I think sometimes it's just something silly like that that turns projects into UFOs.
Beautiful quilt, looks kind of hard to piece? Purple is my favorite color, look forward to seeing what you do with these.
Great finish. Good luck figuring out the border.

Your hummingbird quilt will be beautiful! Such soft color...very nice. :-)
Love the hummingbird. Hum, I'd border with something simple so as not to distract from the center. Just a thought. How about mitred border? (I just attended a lecture where some wonderful mitred borders were shown.)
Wow, your hummingbird quilt looks wonderful. I haven't seen any posts about RRCB? Have you put it away for awhile? I'm still plugging away at the 600 half square triangles...but I'm half way there! Sounds like you had a good time at your retreat and was just what you needed.
I love the skinny sashing and cornerstones. I'm sure you'll find a border idea that is just right, too.
Beautiful hummingbird! It is soft and sweet and so pretty to look at.
Yummy purples--I don't have much of that color in my stash so would be hard pressed to create anything!
I have not seen this design before, it looks wonderful!
Your hummingbird looks to me like it could be considered finished just the way it is. Sometimes, I think we add borders onto things that don't really need them.
This is so beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide about the borders.
Your quilt is beautiful. It looks complicated! Love the purples - wonder what you will make?
Borders!!!I always want to do something different. At least 3 of my UFOs made it to the border stage and then I stopped. Good luck...love the violets!
