Design Wall Monday - 2/28/11

Where did February go?  I'm sure you are all wondering the same!

My February went in bed, it feels like, lol.  Lots of resting and recovering.  I didn't realize that recovery from my surgery in January would take SO LONG!

Anyway...I have finally given myself permission to rest more until my body says it's rested enough, and it seems to be going better.

On my design wall this morning is an idea for my Monochromatic quilt...yes, I know, it's the 28th, lol.  I think I'll still do it because I don't think it will take that long to sew it up now that I have the idea.

The red blocks are for my A Dozen Quilters project.  Those will go in the mail today.

Make sure you check out everyone else's design wall at Judy's blog.  I'm sure you'll see some really wonderful things!

Very colourful blocks! I've never tried a Monochromatic quilt, LOL I couldn't even spell it. One for the future I think.

All of us usually try and come back to quickly from surgery, injury, illness etc. Glad you gave yourself permission to recover how you need to.

Make sure you do rest up to fully recover. My brother has had many surgeries without sufficient recovery and now he suffers from chronic fatigue, and his body forces him to rest/sleep more. Take good care of yourself.

Thanks for stopping by my Blog. Hope you are resting as prescribed. It's hard to stop the Quilt Brain though...

Very pretty blocks, I can't wait to see how they are going to be used!! It takes a long time to recouperate from surgery and I am a slow healer. Be kind to yourself, your design wall shows that you have been busy since your surgery. I hate slowing down but sometimes that is what we have to do for a short season.

Great blocks! Rest up, some times it seems to take forever to recover from surgery but it will happen.

Now those 2 violet blocks look intriguing. I'll be watching as those grow. And the red squares are do bright and cheerful, and just so much fun. It will be interesting to see what you do with them.

I like what you have for your Feb monochrom project :) Isn't it true that as we age it takes longer to bounce back from just about anything, but most especially surgery? Hang in there :)

I LOVE the red blocks! Take care of yourself.

I hope you are back to your old self soon. Surgery always seems to take more out of you then you think, for longer than you think it should.

Love your blocks!

Hope you're up and at 'em in no time! Meanwhile, it seems like you're having fun playing with fabric and ideas -- such good medicine for the soul. Love your bright and cheery blocks! Take care!
