Paper Piecing

Well, Tuesday is Bismarck day.  We went "to town" for lessons and groceries, etc.

This morning and this evening, I thought I would try my hand at paper piecing.

I've done a little, but not much.

These blocks are for a Yahoo! Goup that I belong to called The Quilted Table.  Each month, we have a new seasonal item and this month, we're having a swap for a Valentine wall hanging or table topper.

The swap is for four blocks and I finished these today.

There's a pink block....

...and a red block.

Also...

Tomorrow is the first meeting of our new quilt group.

I'm SO excited!

It will be so cool to see who shows up and what kinds of ideas everyone has about how they want the group to work.

I'm not really sure exactly what's going to happen, but I know it will be fun!

Love your blocks, especially the pink one. Enjoy your new small group. Ours is just 'come as you are, sew what you want to sew, and have fun'. no restrictions, no fees, just fellowship.

I love those heart blocks. I used to belong to a quilt group when I first began quilting, but the group met at a local church which was convenient for me to attend at lunch time, but they since have moved to a new Senior Center, and since I'm not a senior just yet, and besides it's 9 miles away from work, I can't attend anymore. I miss watching the advanced quilters do their thing!

Beautiful blocks! It's hard to believe that Valentine's day is just around the corner.

I love the heart block. Does it have a name or did you design it yourself? I enjoy reading your blog. Happy New Year!!
