Productive Day

Well, I've had a pretty productive day, even though I was in and out all day.

I finished two pillowcases...

I'm caught up on my Hazel's Diary Quilt...

I finished six blocks for Block Lotto...

Plus, some extra ones and some "X"s and "O"s for a baby quilt for donation to the NICU.

I came to the realization...in the cold hard light...that 20 quilts for the NICU in one month was an unrealistic goal, lol. So, I'll scale it back and make 12 pillowcases for the pediatric floor and at least two quilts for the NICU. Hopefully, I'll get more than two done. I can really work fast when I get on a roll.

Hope you all had a quilty day.

I also make NICU quilts and pillowcases for our hospital's pediatric unit. Yesterday was a real bonanza because I picked up 12 yds for pillowcases for only $24. A local fabric shop sells quilt fabric usually for $4 a yard. It is fabric that was in the quilt stores a year or two ago, and manufacturers are cleaning out their warehouses. Twice a year he cuts the price to $2. That's on my agenda today, along with Block Lotto.
