Design Wall Monday, Jan 4

So, how cute are these?

I'm playing Block Lotto this month and this is the block they have. They're planning on playing with Liberated blocks this year. I find that so incredibly awesome, as I was planning on becoming a little more Liberated this year anyway!

SO, then I got the idea that I should make a baby quilt...one of the 20 that I want to make this month...using these blocks...and why not make some "X" and "O" blocks while I'm at it? So, here's my "X" block.

Then, I needed some more "bright" scraps, so I cut up some of the stuff the I bought on Saturday for pillowcases.

So, that's what's on my "design wall" this morning. Pop on over to Judy's blog to see what everyone else is up to.

It's 5:20 and I have already had one little boy up to the bathroom throwing up...ICK! A couple of the girls have been battling a stomach flu for the last few days. We'll see what happens.

Hope everyone has a quilty day!

Brights, including bright white, make for such cheerful quilts.

Hope your kids are feeling better. Sleep and ginerger ale were usually the Mom's cure for my illnesses.

Fun! (The quilt part anyway, not so much the sick kid part!)

This is not good, you are the first design wall I visited and I have decided that I have to make a quilt from these cutie patootie blocks (as if I have nothing else to do)! Guess I will be adding this one to my Quilts Bucket List as there are already two quilts on my Design Wall today . . .

I've seen lots of those Lotto blocks on blogs - whoever wins them is going to have one beautiful, bright quilt! Great idea to keep making some more for baby quilts - it IS a fun block. Cheers! Evelyn

Pillowcases, I promise to work on pillowcases as soon as I get this @#$%&*@ quilted! Unfortunately, all the mistakes so far are "user error"!
