Well, I've learned a lot.
First of all...the best laid plans...
The baby quilt that I started...the one that I was going to do the tutorial on...is not very fun. I wouldn't wish it on you, so I'm not going to. But, I am going to finish it!
I thought that I had figured out a way to make three baby quilts from one set of cutting, but I didn't, lol.
I am working on a second quilt from the pieces that I used in the first quilt, but there'll be no third quilt.
Secondly, I learned that "doing your own thing" isn't always what it's cracked up to be. There are going to be some hits...and there are going to be some misses.
But, I'm excited that I did put myself out there and give it the old college try.
I'm going to finish the flimsys of the quilts that I started yesterday/today and get some pics up ASAP.
Hope you all had a quilty day! I know I did.

Tamera, I think that is great you can put into words what you learned today. I don't think I've thought that deeply today!! Plan B is usually best!
Yep, sometimes quilts turn out better than I expect when I design something myself and other times it's a bit disappointing but I like being to draft my own quilts so I keep trying.
Whenever I do something different and it "doesn't quite turn out like I thought it would" I tell myself--well THAT was a learning experience! And then I just move on to the next thing and quit fretting, after all, I learned something from it!
