Design Wall Monday, July 30, 2012

On my design wall this morning are some sampler blocks that I'm doing for a beginner's quilting class.

I joined it so that I could take my friend and I have been enjoying it so much! Even when you've been quilting for a while, going to a beginner's class is really fun, I think. You meet new people; you hear all about how others teach; and at the end, you have a finished quilt! What more could you ask for?

Last, I'll show you a practice piece, lol. I've been practicing as much as I can on my HQ Sweet 16. I LOVE her!

Make sure you check out what everyone else is up to at Patchwork Times.

Hope you have a quilty day!

Really pretty done in those colors. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I really enjoy going to an occasional quilt class too, although I'm limited to weekend or evening ones due to my work schedule. And I always learn something new, even after 30 of quilting.

I have that book too. I think the only thing I've ever used it for is the August block, Tumbleweed. I know I've made it a couple of times for swaps and the like. Your colors just sing to me! Nice job.
